The basics

Essentially, Kinerase® is a skin care regimen that aims to reduce the effects of skin aging with little or no side effects or irritation. Who makes kinerase®?

Kinerase® is manufactured by ICN, and there’s a great story behind how it was discovered. It began when scientists found that the natural chemical compound called kinetin prevents leaves from drying and prematurely ageing. After studying topical formulations of kinetin, scientists discovered that kinetin-enriched skin retained 15% more moisture after just 12 weeks. At the end of 24 weeks, moisture retention improved by almost 25%. And most study participants reported a significant reduction in wrinkles and spottiness.

How does kinerase work?

Kinerase® is suitable for people of all ages and skin types, including younger people. It is safe to use with Vitamin A products or retinoids and glycolic acid-based skin care compounds, and can also be used by those sensitive to retinoids. Broadly, Kinerase® helps reduce wrinkles, smoothen rough skin, and eliminates hyper-pigmentation. It is available in cream or lotion formulations and is noncomedogenic (doesn’t clog the pores of the skin) and hypoallergenic (unlikely to cause allergic reactions).

There’s more.. Kinerase® provides gentle moisturization and zero irritation for sufferers of rosacea, eczema, and dermatitis. Designed for twice-daily use, a dime-size amount of Kinerase® cream or lotion on the face and neck is the standard dosage. Pro+Therapy utilizes a new advanced plant-based extract called zeatin, a next generation plant cytokinin derived from plant RNA that works with kinetin. So let’s take a look at the product range:

Kinerase® Pro+Therapy Skin Smoothing Cleanser follows the Pro+Therapy treatment regimen. The formulation has a mild exfoliating action but does not cause the redness, peeling and irritation that chemical exfoliation does. For best results, the cleanser should be used twice daily for a maximum of six weeks. The manufacturers suggest a switch at four-six weeks to Kinerase Gentle Daily Cleanser to allow the skin to rebuild.

Kinerase® Hydrating Antioxidant Mist tones and tightens the skin, replenishing it with important nutrients. Ideal for use morning and night after cleansing, it can also be used through the day to re-energize, re-hydrate, and relax the skin. It also claims to protect skin from environmental pollutants associated with air travel.

Kinerase® Pro+Therapy Advanced Repair Serum contains a blend of plant-based extracts that diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while improving skin texture and tone. Kinerase® Pro+Therapy Advanced Repair Serum is designed to deliver concentrated ingredients to specific areas upon twice daily application. Regular use reduces skin roughness, hyper-pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles.

Kinerase® Lotion improves skin tone and the appearance of aging and sun damage. Daily use can help skin retain more moisture and reduce freckles and blotchiness.
